The Supreme Court overturned the Panganiban formula as basis for allocation of seats for party-list groups, thus, consequently granting 32 more party-list representatives in Congress.
The SC justices were unanimous in their decision, raising the total number of party-list representatives from 22 to 54. The decision is immediately executory.
